Text Located at the lowest point on earth, 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea in Israel may be the first spa location exploited by man, as it was prized by Cleopatra and the Kingdom of Sheba. It was already well known at that time that a treatment based on salt and mud beautifies skin and helps to maintain the ideal form. This is possible thanks to a process of osmosis that removes excess liquids and substitutes them with marine microelements. This large lake is so special because of the high percentage of minerals present in its water.
